Chiropractic Care in Frisco

At Taylor Family Chiropractic, we are aware of the stigmas/urban myths that surround chiropractic and are happy to put those myths to rest. We understand that to run a 95% referral based practice you must offer your patients two things, results and a level of care that they will never experience anywhere else. We pride ourselves on delivering those two things to our patients.
For those of you who are afraid that chiropractic care will be painful, the number one comment we receive from our new patients is, “wow, that wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.” Dr. Taylor is compassionate towards every patient and is trained in 9 different chiropractic techniques to make sure that you remain comfortable throughout your care in our office.

Understanding Chiropractic Care

Understanding chiropractic care is simple and easy. Think of the human body like a tree and there are 3 main components to this system; the roots which are like the brain, the central portion of the tree which is like our spinal cord, the branches which represent our spinal nerves. The roots are where most function initiates and they provide everything that the tree needs to stay healthy as well as function properly. The roots control much of what the tree experiences just like the brain. From the roots, nutrients will travel up the tree making their way out to the limbs and branches. A healthy tree will have healthy, full branches with lots of leaves. However, if something were to compress either the tree or any of its branches you would see the branches start to wither, the leaves would thin, and could possibly even die while the tree continues to live. This is much like what happens when the spine experiences a trauma or when the bones in our spine incorrectly shift out of place. The spine will start to experience effects from this pressure, many times showing up as pain. More importantly is when the nerve roots(the tree’s branches) are pinched because these same nerves feed organs, glands, and muscle groups. This can be difficult for people to detect since the first sign for many patients is not pain; but instead muscle cramping/tightness, achiness, restless sleep, even symptoms related to an organ, and not pain. This is where the branches of our body start to wilt, the leaves begin to drop off, and we are left with a chronic condition. Dr. Taylor is an expert at both detecting and correcting these issues. The earlier these problems are found, the easier they are to correct, so don’t delay!
